Some of the best times I have had while living in the Charleston SC area have been what I call Fall Fun. The heat is gone, the humidity is lower, the air is a bit crisper, still warm but crisp and seemingly cleaner.  As the fall progresses the occasions to make merry increase.

Here are some of the activities we will be enjoying this Fall in and around Charleston

The Charleston Cup-  Held in Stono Ferry just south of the city this is a premier  Steeplechase Horse Race.  Festivities include Black tie socials and Jack Russell Terrier dog trials. Looking for a home in that area here's a sample

The Holiday Festival of Lights - Held every year at  James Island County Park, the drive through and around light displays are a huge hit with kids and adults. This year the main sponsor is BOEING.

The Mount Pleasant Christmas Parade - Always a big hit. Dress warm and get there early to reserve your seat. This parade has well over 100 floats. Of course if you lived here or here you could walk to the parade route.

You can find a whole list of events by checking out the Charleston edition of the City paper. Here you can find Fall Fun in Summerville, West Ashley , Sullivans Island, isle of Palm,  Daniel Island as well as Hanahan, N. Charleston and Johns Island.
